“I am Australian who’s still working on Swedish written grammar… I will save you the torture and myself the embarressment, and write in English instead ;)” -Justin Ohlsen
On this edition of Modding Highlights we take a closer look at a project called Elegant by PC builder/modder MisterX.
MisterX has chosen the Bitfenix Pandora for this project because of it’s simple and “elegant” lines and form, which fits the rest of the design within his home.
Inside this case mod you will find the following components:
– Case: Bitfenix Pandora
– MB: Asus Rampage IV GENE Black Edition (målat ;p)
– CPU: 4930K
– RAM: 16GB Corsair Dominator Platinum 2400MHz
– GPU: Zotac Geforce GTX Titan
– PSU: Superflower Leadex 750W Platinum
– SSD’s: Samsung EVO 500GB + 1TB
As for the modding, MisterX has cut away the top of the chassis, then cut an acrylic sheet to form so that it fits snugly to the chassis frame, effectively making a window looking inside to the motherboard and GPU. He has also created custom cables for his PSU as well. Then to top it all off, he has created a beautiful water cooling loop comprised of chromed copper pipes, silver nickel fittings and clear coolant. Lastly he has “blacked out” the motherboard by painting it, and cover parts in vinyl wrap, and polishing up the RAM heat spreaders.
All in all, this is one classy build, where the inside colour choices match the exterior perfectly. This would definitely look fantastic in any ones living room… But preferably mine! 🙂
